My stomache collapses every now and then on Xmas...

...when I am thinking about food alone, I feel slightly sick. My boyfriend told me, he feels the same way when picturing fish etc. I am so tired, it was a very intense few days, plus I forgot that all shops are closed today- meaning, my Mommy will have to buy me the coat I have been dreaming off for days. I just hope she picks the right one ;-).

Apart from that, spent Boxing Day with my Dad's family and than with Mommy, Darek, Neighbours, Uncle and Aunt and of course..my Hunk.
It was great!

Ich bin endlich in Polen....

Finally :). Managed to survive my voyage til Polen, mainly thanks to my Love! He is here with me, and you cannot imagine, how much that means to me! It makes me ptobably the happiest person on earth! We already once hit the town and had it cosy at home. Tomorrow we are again out and about in Wrocław-City, I want to show him a bit around.
As for now he shows incredible resistance- when it comes to my family.

Done, done , done! It was so freakin' difficult. But the relief you sense afterwards is simply priceless. I am so glad. Now I can really concentrate on getting ready for my voyage! I have to buy a few things, do the laundry (ahhhhh good that I reminded myself, I have to put the dryer on!!!ta!).
Okay I am back. It's done.

I will have to sit a second exam in this very subject, but this time I want to do it really properly. And because of that I decided to write everything down, so I can directly start learning.
I hope I keep to that...

I still have to:
- buy some presents
- buy a new bag (for luggage, my old one's dead)
- do laundry
- get all my university stuff together
- write a few profs' an e-mail
- make a list of things to take with me ;)

I had a dream....

... I dreamt about my dog. I was standing on some path and Snoopy was running towards me. All I thought in that moment was, Thanks God, he is still so lively and healthy. Even though he seemed so happy it was a sad dream. I suppose because this will never happen again. It wasn't easy to get up after such a dream :(.

Solidarnost...

Did you hear about the new Russian Party called "Solidarnost"?!? I guess every single Polish citizen heard the bells ringing :), at least I did. Chairman is naturalmente Garri Kasparov (who else?!), who also organised an inauguration last Saturday. Or he tried, since the rally was denied by Russian police (....) . Actually none really arrived at the meeting place, since police detained more than 90 people on their ways there, and the rest was simply scared away.
I have always appreciated and respected people like Kasparov ( people may know him as from former times, when he used to be the world's best chess player) and Limanov ( he is the founder of another opposition party), who have been fighting a war beyond recovery against the Russian juggernaut. Their determination is worth admiring!
I am sitting my first exam tomorrow, and decided to start learning for it. I suppose getting hold of the right part of the stick could be of advantage. This Thursday I am heading home with my Boyfriend, who was waiting for two weeks or more for me to ask him, if he wanted to join me. I am an idiot indeed. I felt so sorry when he told me that ;o . We just bought the tickets ( "regards" to the German Railways for the loss of reality they are suffering from... I am asking myself, how an average citizen is supposed to cover THESE costs?!).

Last weekend we were busy, since my boyfriend's corporation held their annual christmas meeting (in German it's called "Weihnachtskneipe"). At such an event all the older members are coming and they're celebrating xmas by....drinking incredible amounts of beer. 3 days long. Even though I once considered myself as a strong drinker (auf gut Deutsch- Kampsaeufer), this still gives me the creeps (though I am more or less getting used to it). Anyaways, we have survived it and now I am off, listening to Tracy Chapman ("Talking about a revolution" - amazing song!) and STUDYING! (devo imperare!).

I am on the verge of passing out. Climate change does indeed affect me. And do not tell me I am talking / writing nonsense . It's the truth. I have been feeling dizzy and weak for three days at least. And my head aches. Usually I do not have them. It doesn't even feel like winter outdoors, but a thing between autumn and spring, with some cold breezes from time to time.
Sitting in our studying room, reading Oscar Wilde's "Lady Windermere's Fan" for Literature classes. I most honestly admitt, that I was quite annoyed at the beginning (or with the vision of reading it), but I must say it is indeed a very good play. I have never been much into Wilde, had once a liasion with "The Picture of Dorian Grey" and that's it.
I guess I am even gonna read the whole play at once, and not only the first act we had set as homework. Than I am gonna read some...many pages in my Norwegian Course Book, which is the best I ever had (even compared to other languages). It is simply interesting. It tells you everything about Norway, the Society, History, Geography, Politics etc. That kind of book really does attract me! I used to put away my course books, since they were dull and I prefered to learn on an individual line. Wasn't bad, but it did not always cover the material the teacher wanted us to do. Egal.
And there is no end in sight. I have to write two papers for one Course! One for the lecture- around five pages (possible to mae it) and the second one- about 20 pages (!). Hello there, I am a Bachelor Student, and NOT writing my Seminar Thesis! Both topics are more or less dull. Though the second one (luckily), the 20-pages-monster is about Africa, marked as the "black" continent, left alone and about journalism. I opted to write about the massacre in Srebrenica, since I already had the complete list in my head (books and articles) or about Chechenya. But since we have to do it in groups, and no one was eager to join my ambitious plans, I was left alone and had to join the Africans :(. Not that I am not into it- I am ! But I am so much interested in the Balkans and Chechenya, I guess my papers could be far better! Well next time I s'pose!
Watched a fantastic movie on Friday when being with my Lurve at his parents' house. It was Norwegian, in German "Die Tote am See". It reminded me at once that in my Videothek des Vertrauens ( you simply can't translate that into English, so it makes sense- it's simply my fave place to borrow dvd's), there must still be at least 5 Wallander movies I haven't seen. So I went there yesterday and took home the only movie I had already seen.
This is so much me.

Today is a new try.
But first I am gonna finish my homework.

Den førsten .....

Today is the first of December, most importantly my dog's birthday. He would had turned 12 today. Twelve years. But he won't. He won't ever turn 13 or 14 or even 15 years old. My Love lit a candle for him. I am so sad. I miss him, more and more with every day that passes by. I am thinking so very often about Snoopy. People do not understand. They just don't see it. And I can't make out, why people think so. Even now, writing I am crying, because I feel such pain in my heart. I spent 11 wonderful years with him. I know nothing lasts forever, but this is something I still cannot accept.

About the importance of being idle

I was just thinkin about my promise to myself to write more in Italian and Norwegian or whatever language I posses any skills in. But on the other hand, I do not know many people who are fluent in Italian, Norwegian, German , Polish and Serbian for instance. To be more accurate- I do not know a single person, so I am gonna drop this plan like a hot potatoe and continue in English.
I am sitting in a train at the moment, with my Boyfriend. We had the glorious idea to drive trough the whole region of Lower Saxony and study in the meantime. It's not exactly being put into practice like this but still. We just passed Hannover and our on our way up north. When leaving Gottinga I realised that were most likely missing the NorthDerby (Hamburger SV vs. Werder Bremen, but I guess we will survive?!)
Were at his parents yesterday, and something really curious happened while his father started a fire in the stack - a few seconds later- suddenly the whole living-room (and it's really big) was black with smoke! It all happened so fast, I did not even have time to realise what really happened in there. It is the second time sth odd happened in this house. Once my Love and me were sleeping in his brother's room, and around three or a bit later his PC just switched itself on! And when Windows started (u know, the sound it makes when it's been driven up?!)- the volume was on the maximum! I am not a freak or whatever, but believe me- I personally switched the PC off before we went to bed, and I am more than sure the boxes were off... I was so sleepy at the very moment it happened that I didn't really know what happened. My Heart just got up to fix it and it was the next morning when I got a bit scared ;).
Anyways, I should really do something for Uni. Or finish reading the Spiegel at least ;).

Upadate : We made it til Uelzen and than went back. Had a chat with a housemate (whose name is Marian) til the middle of the night and today we went shopping- my Love bought me the most beautiful shoes ever. Also a lot of other thingies. Now I gotta do something to my hair, I have a meeting with a studying group.

Kan du handle det? I almost can't :). Magnificent. Believe me! Yesterday while studying (okay I was more surfing the web but whatever) I noticed tiny little snowflakes swirling outside! I nearly went nuts- I was THAT excited. I guess I scared my hunk like hell, when running around like a crazy addict. But he took it with grace. He really did.

Just finished writting an essay for my Italian Course ( I wrote about an unforgettable journey my best friend Ulla and me made almost three years ago to Andalucia). I must say that I am impressed, I think I am really into writing (or I am talking something in my head, and it's not sense!). Talking about an overdose of self-confidence : Lately it's been getting on my nerves that people, who want us to know (= want to be considered that way) they are intelligent and rich, tell it aloud. Do you really have to?! Don't you know it's classless?! An intelligent person doesn't have to say he or she is, and neither does a rich one. From my point of view it simply indicates a very poor character of yours. It doesn't impress, you do not gain from it and nor does it make you a person of consequence.
A second matter : I hate people who are moaning and whining around, people who tend to see only clouds on a dark sky, but forget to notice the sun is coming through! People who always see themselves as the poorest, who always foretell the worst case will happen indeed. And the worse is, these sissies end up eventually better than we do.

Cheesed off...

I am so cheesed off, this is why I am not writing in here that frequently. University keeps me busy as hell, so I try to use the little free time I have left for my boyfriend and to catch up with e-mails etc. Apart from that- Novemeber seems, just as July and May to be the month, when most of my friends celebrate their birthdays. It's incredible, but I had to congratulate someone every day! Quite impressive.
I wish you all, one more time- all the very best. With many happy returns of the day!
Anyways (seems to be my favourite word for starters by the way, did you notice?!), I just wanna survive this week and concentrate on my next tasks. I am sitting an exam in political science next week, which is said to be tough. I already hate the fact that the exam will have something to do with science. More theoretic stuff no one really needs.

Today is footie time, and I have a meeting with my girls. I do not know how to keep it short, but I have to,priorities are priorities..... The biggest clash for sure : England versus Germany. Two teams I sincerely do not support and never will. They are just as bad as the Dutch and France!

House warming party survived (my liver and throat a bit less), though my hair ironer has disappeared! And I solmenly swear here and now, once I find the darn thief, I am gonna burn him or her a whole in his or her cheek with this very (MY!!!!!) hair ironer! Damn you! How am I supposed to go to University now?! With curly hair?????!!! Are you serious or kidding me? Hmpf!
Party pics to follow, a friend of mine took them, so I have to wait ! All in all it was a good one. I had fun til three or four in the morning- especially because two mid-school friends came over and surprised me (I love you girls!) and than a friend from the Balkan. He brought over yet another guys (also from there and the second one was from India) so it was fun!

Though this bash has shown me something imperative- I am getting old. I am still recovering from it! Can you handle that? Cause I can't! Horrible. I am becoming a no-go!

Well this night a well-kown lady passed away- Miriam Makeba was her name, also known as Mama Africa. She was not only the most know singer from South Africa but also a passionate fighter against the Apartheid ( I supppose everyone knows what that was?!).
Her most popular song (that brought her fame) was "Pata pata" .
Now she is on the better side!

Today it is also six months since we sticked together with my Love. Incredible- time flies by like nothing but on the other hand it feels like I have been knowing my Heart forever!

Long time no see. I feel ashamed again. I assume though it is due to the fact, that I do have the impression, my English is- to the contrary what I have been thinking - bad. Since I am frequenting translation and various other courses held in this wonderful language, I cannot stop wondering about what fool I have been! Especially in translation I do see more and more, that there is still so much I do not know about the English language. Have to work that up I guess?!

Anyways, November has finally arrived (and everyone knows I am not fond of this month!). I must admitt however, that it ain't THIS bad this year, and I even know why ;-P. Today is our house warming party, and I have lost control of whom I invited and whom not. I am the walking chaos, literally!
The best is- even friends, who are currently out of town (Erasmus in Italy or some studies in other German cities) are coming over! This is so ace! Even though I am over the moon because of this fact, someone important is missing, which hurts immensly! My boyfriend had to rush off with his corporation somewhere in Eastern Germany. It is a pity, since a friend of both of us is here, and they can't possibly meet. A pity. Really!!!

Apart from that, every-day business. University, Seid and life. I am more than a happy girl, even though I share the both worries as the majority of us.
I guess this is how it should be!

Of course I can't help but yell out my joy about Obama's victory. I already had hard times in defending my choice. But as I wrote, I fully supported and still do him!

My Sis got married in Octobre in Marocco. From me, one more congrat! I am happy for the both of you! And wish you all the best on your long, long way of a happily married life!

I know, I am. I can't help it. I just have so many things on my mind and to do. And there is this annoying thing called university. To be honest, only some 30 per cent are fun - the rest totally point- and useless. Politics, Grammar and Translation are fine, since the profs are pretty funny and involved into our education, they heart students! ( .. and they are all foreigners...)Norwegian is fine, but seems a bit hard at the moment- and I can only participate in 50 %, since I have a second lecture at the same time ( Introduction to Italian History)... it's a shame, since I love norsk, and we are doing some very important stuff this term. I also intend to frequent Serbian ;-P You know...
The rest is... well dull, I am not the person for these very courses..we shall see. Since I have more or less to take care of my courses I take, I picked Law for the next term ( International Law) and politics of course!

Apart from that I have some pretty difficult days behind me. I had a series of arguments with my flatmate and friends concerning my behaviour, which was according to them (and in some points I do agree) shit. Though to be honest, they exaggerated a lot! They committed the cardinal mistake of comparing me, which is just wrong. I am me, myself and maybe I. But never will I be anyone else. When I love, I love with all my heart. And when I chose to spend my time (or as much as I can)with my hunk, it is because I need and do want it. It's not an easy matter to explain someone what love is, when he or she never really loved with all their hearts.. Anyways, I hope it's solved and sealed forever- since I do not have the nerves and do not want to loose power for something as stupid as this!
My Love finishes (F-I-N-A-L-L-Y) work on Friday morning. This is going to be my lucky day, believe me! Tomorrow is gonna be tough, I am more or less 12 h at University, which sucks a big deal!I have courses in 4 different languages! Last week on that day I was confused, when someone spoke German with me ( I was actually asking myself which language it was...).

We are gonna finally move the last stuff from my flatmate's old home, including a writing desk for me, which is wonderful, since I am done with completing my papers in bed .
Apart from that?! Was at two parties last Saturday- one was dull the second one gorgeous (at my bf's corporation..).
I think this is all for now. I am soooo tired ( getting up at six to get my Love from the station...), I am just gonna finish the book I am reading now ( " Viva Polonia" ) and off to zzzzzz....

We have literally Indian Summer here in Germany- try to picture these colours! They are simply amazing! And sunhsine all over the place! All my prayers have been answered. Just came back from a stroll with Seid, who is on his way to work now- night shift.. Just two more weeks, and he is done! Luckily. He was so bored yesterday, that I had to call him around 2 a.m!
Tomorrow I have an English Exam, which is going to test my skills ( I am starting with English Studies as well this term). I really can't wait. As if I didn't have enough exams last term.. You really never get enough...
I also got a mail from a really good friend of mine, I hadn't talked to for ages- so I am simply over the moon (though some other friends are causing trouble, and nothing more than trouble..)
Anyways- I am tired ( the only thing I mastered today was helping my Hunk and his Mommy cooking), just updating my Filofax (it's so gorgeous :P ) and than I am off Zzzzz... ( ha ha my Love is off to work, and I am sleeping in his parent's house :P.....).

Sick ... sick... sick

Folks, never allow me to drink coffee- or anything coffeeish. It makes me sick. My stomache's just celebrating a little party at the moment, which is not really enjoyable. Was out with Assal and Isi (who brought her dog along <3 ) and had two Lattes. Afterwards it is molto disgusting!

Going to Einbeck tomorrow, again with the very first train. I must be really in love, there is no other reason for me to get up this early! But being apart for two days is inhuman! I am still asking myself how on earth it was possible for me to last these two weeks in Poland?! Maybe my Mom set me on drugs, and I just didn't notice?!
